Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Secretariat in Bhopal, directing departments to accelerate time-bound implementation of key government initiatives. The meeting focused on education reforms, infrastructure development, administrative efficiency, religious tourism projects, and public welfare schemes.
Expansion and Branding of Sandeepani Schools Under “School Chale Abhiyan”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that during the ongoing “School Chale Abhiyan” (running till July 15), maximum Sandeepani School buildings should be inaugurated. He also directed that school rationalization be completed so students can benefit within the current academic session.
He described Sandeepani Schools as a major educational innovation of the state and instructed the School Education Department to prepare a strategy for national and global branding of the model.

Recruitment of Home Guards and 20% Reservation for Agniveers
The Chief Minister directed the state to initiate Home Guard recruitment at the earliest. He also announced that Agniveers will be given 20% reservation in recruitment to the Special Armed Force (Constable posts) of Madhya Pradesh Police, instructing the Home Department to act swiftly on implementation.
Biometric Attendance System in Government Offices
To ensure punctuality, Dr. Yadav ordered the installation of biometric attendance systems in key government buildings including:
- Secretariat
- Satpura Bhawan
- Vindhyachal Bhawan
He reiterated that all government employees must strictly follow working hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Land Reclamation from BHEL and Coordination with Central Government
The Chief Minister directed officials to coordinate with the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries to reclaim unused land currently held by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in Bhopal.
The government aims to retrieve and repurpose the unused land for public benefit.
Memorial Planned on Union Carbide Site in Bhopal
Dr. Yadav reviewed plans for developing a grand memorial on the Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) site, which has been cleared of chemical waste.
APCO has been instructed to prepare a detailed plan. The government will also study the museum developed in Bhuj, Gujarat, for inspiration to build a world-class memorial in Bhopal.
Free Land Registry Campaign in Rural Areas
A major statewide campaign will be launched to provide free registration of residential land in rural areas across 53,000 villages.
Key features include:
- Village-level registration camps
- Extensive public awareness campaigns
- Simplification of land classification processes
The initiative aims to streamline property ownership documentation in rural Madhya Pradesh.
Development of Religious and Tourist Sites
The Chief Minister directed accelerated development of major religious and pilgrimage destinations, including:
- Amarkantak
- Chitrakoot
- Omkareshwar
- Maheshwar
- Datia
- Orchha
- Maihar
Facilities such as dharmashalas, sarais, annakshetras, drinking water systems, hospitals, and public infrastructure will be promoted. Religious and social organizations will be encouraged through incentives such as fee rebates, subsidies, and concessions.
Chitrakoot and River Linking Development Projects
Special focus was placed on the development of Chitrakoot, including:
- Sati Anusuya Temple Complex
- Multi-facility center
- Gupta Godavari Temple development
The government also discussed the Mandakini River interlinking project, with Uttar Pradesh reportedly agreeing to move forward. A joint Chief Minister-level meeting is expected soon.
Expansion of Ram Van Gaman Path and Krishna Pathway
The Chief Minister instructed officials to speed up work on:
- Ram Van Gaman Path Project
- Shri Krishna Pathway
Both projects are expected to be completed within set timelines to enhance religious tourism infrastructure.
Airport Development and Land Acquisition in Ujjain Region
Dr. Yadav directed expedited construction of a new airport at Datana-Matana near Ujjain, replacing the existing airstrip.
Officials informed that:
- Land acquisition has been completed
- Section 11 proceedings are done
- Foundation laying is expected soon
Education Rationalization and “Samrasata Hostels”
The Chief Minister ordered rationalization of various departmental schools operated by the state government. He also proposed merging student hostels into unified facilities called “Samrasata Hostels”, aimed at promoting social harmony among students.
Improved Water Supply and Summer Preparedness
The government confirmed better preparedness for summer water supply management, ensuring that:
- No district faced water transportation issues this year
- Urban and rural water systems remain strengthened
Senior Officials Present in the Meeting
The review meeting was attended by senior bureaucrats including:
- Chief Secretary Anurag Jain
- Additional Chief Secretaries Neeraj Mandloi, Manish Rastogi, Shivshekhar Shukla, Sanjay Dubey, Anupam Rajan
- Other Principal Secretaries and departmental officials
The meeting reflected the state government’s focus on accelerated infrastructure development, administrative efficiency, educational reform, religious tourism expansion, and rural land reforms. The Chief Minister directed all departments to ensure timely execution of targets through structured action plans.
