MP CM Mohan Yadav Inaugurates Sandipani School in Berasia, Announces Four-Lane Bhopal-Berasia Road

The ₹50.74 crore school will provide modern education, laboratories and sports facilities, while the four-lane road project aims to improve connectivity and boost Berasia’s overall development.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the inauguration of the Sandipani School in Berasia marks the beginning of a new era in education and a brighter future for students in the region. He said the school will provide quality education along with modern facilities and help students develop knowledge, values, confidence and skills.

The Chief Minister made the remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Government Sandipani Thakur Lal Singh Higher Secondary School in Berasia on Sunday. He also inspected the school campus and extended his best wishes to students on the opening of the new facility.

The school has been developed across approximately 35 acres at a cost of ₹50.74 crore. During the programme, CM Mohan Yadav also planted a sapling on the school campus.

Sandipani School to Begin New Era of Education in Berasia

CM Mohan Yadav said the Sandipani School is not merely the inauguration of a new school building but the beginning of a new era of education in Berasia.

He said the institution will offer students a modern and high-quality learning environment while providing them with opportunities to develop:

  • Knowledge and skills
  • Good values and discipline
  • Self-confidence
  • Life skills
  • A sense of responsibility

The Chief Minister said schools and teachers play a crucial role in shaping the personality of students and giving their lives the right direction.

According to him, parents give children life, while schools and teachers help shape their personalities and make their lives meaningful. He compared good schools and capable teachers to the touchstone that transforms iron into gold, saying they help bring out the best in students and turn their talent into an asset for society and the nation.

Education Should Go Beyond Getting a Job: CM Mohan Yadav

The Chief Minister told students that the purpose of education should not be limited to securing a job.

He encouraged students to choose careers according to their interests and abilities and strive for excellence in their chosen fields. Students can become doctors, engineers, lawyers, journalists and administrative officers, while also pursuing careers as modern farmers, successful entrepreneurs and skilled business professionals.

CM Mohan Yadav urged students to work with dedication, honesty and hard work, regardless of the field they choose.

He said the state government is working to connect education with employment, self-employment, skill development and entrepreneurship. The objective is to make the new generation self-reliant and enable young people to become not only job seekers but also job creators.

Sandipani Schools to Promote Knowledge, Values and Skills

CM Mohan Yadav said India’s identity has traditionally been associated with knowledge, education and the Guru-Shishya tradition.

He said the purpose of education is to take students from the darkness of ignorance towards the light of knowledge. Madhya Pradesh is developing Sandipani Schools to carry forward India’s rich educational heritage while adapting it to modern requirements.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the name Sandipani School is associated with the legacy of Maharshi Sandipani, the revered teacher of Lord Krishna. According to the tradition, Lord Krishna studied 64 arts and 14 branches of knowledge at Maharshi Sandipani’s ashram in Ujjain.

He said the objective of Sandipani Schools is to connect students with modern education while also keeping them rooted in:

  • Indian culture
  • Moral values
  • Discipline
  • The Guru-Shishya tradition
  • Social responsibility

Knowledge Is the Greatest Asset, Says CM

CM Mohan Yadav said knowledge gained in school is one of the greatest assets in life. While material wealth can be lost, knowledge, wisdom and intellect cannot be taken away.

He urged students to make the best use of their school years and develop good values along with academic knowledge.

Referring to the friendship between Lord Krishna and Sudama, the Chief Minister encouraged students to build genuine friendships and support one another during difficult times. He said education should inspire students not only to become successful individuals but also to become good human beings.

Students Can Play Key Role in Nation Building

CM Mohan Yadav said an educated, value-based and responsible citizenry is essential for strengthening democracy.

He encouraged students to contribute to nation-building in the future by taking up various responsibilities in public life, including becoming panchayat representatives, sarpanches, MLAs, MPs or serving the public in other capacities.

He said good leadership is built on the foundation of education, discipline, sensitivity and a spirit of service developed during school years.

The Chief Minister also referred to the lives of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, urging students to draw inspiration from their patriotism, courage, self-respect and dedication.

He called upon students to use their knowledge and skills for the progress of society, Madhya Pradesh and the nation.

Sandipani Schools Aim to Reduce Education Inequality

The Chief Minister said Sandipani Schools are an important initiative of the state government to reduce inequality in access to education between economically different sections of society.

Through these schools, students are being provided access to quality education and modern facilities, including:

  • Modern laboratories
  • Sports grounds
  • Other essential educational facilities

He said a better academic environment will help students develop their talents and encourage them to set bigger goals for their future.

CM Mohan Yadav expressed confidence that the Sandipani School in Berasia will become a major centre for nurturing local talent and providing students with opportunities to excel in different fields.

Today’s Students Will Lead Viksit Bharat in 2047

CM Mohan Yadav said that when India celebrates the centenary of its Independence in 2047, today’s students will play a leading role in building a developed India.

He said the knowledge, hard work, skills and values of the younger generation will help Madhya Pradesh progress alongside the rest of the country.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that students from the state will make an important contribution towards taking India to a leading position globally.

CM Mohan Yadav Announces Four-Lane Bhopal-Berasia Road

During the programme, CM Mohan Yadav announced that the Bhopal-Berasia road will be developed into a four-lane road.

He said the project will strengthen connectivity between Berasia and the state capital, Bhopal.

The four-lane road is expected to provide:

  • Better and safer connectivity
  • Easier movement for citizens
  • Improved economic development
  • Growth in commercial activities
  • Greater social connectivity in the region

The Chief Minister said improved road connectivity will give a fresh boost to the overall development of the Berasia area.

Berasia MLA Highlights Expansion of Education Facilities

Berasia MLA Vishnu Khatri described the inauguration of the Sandipani School as a moment of pride and happiness for the region.

He said the state government is continuously expanding educational facilities, providing better opportunities for students in rural areas, particularly girls.

He also highlighted that the opening of new high schools and higher secondary schools in the region has increased student enrolment and helped reduce dropout rates.

Khatri urged students to study with dedication, adopt good values along with knowledge and bring pride to their families, region and state.

He said the Sandipani School will emerge as an important centre for modern education, skill development and personality development.

Meritorious Students Honoured at Sandipani School

During the inauguration programme, CM Mohan Yadav honoured meritorious students from Berasia who performed exceptionally well in board examinations.

The students honoured with trophies and certificates were:

  • Akash Sahu
  • Chanchal Kushwaha
  • Sanyam Jain
  • Bhavana Prajapati
  • Rupali Rajak
  • CA Avantika Sahu

The Chief Minister also conducted a roadshow in Berasia, where citizens warmly welcomed and greeted him. CM Mohan Yadav acknowledged the people and accepted their greetings.

The programme was attended by District Panchayat President Ramkumar Gurjar, District Panchayat Vice-President Mohan Singh Jat, Municipal Council President Tanushree Rathore, Janpad Panchayat President Lata Gurjar, along with public representatives, Principal H.N. Mishra, School Education Department officials, teachers and a large number of students.
