Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the state-level training-cum-workshop of the Public Works Department (PWD) held at Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal. During the event, the Chief Minister released the Capacity Building Framework 2026 document and officially launched the upgraded Lokpath 2.0 mobile application with advanced features.
CM Highlights Modernization and Quality in PWD Projects
Addressing the participants, Dr. Yadav expressed his satisfaction with the PWD’s efforts to ensure project quality through modern technologies. He emphasized the importance of efficient time utilization, effective adoption of new technologies, and maintaining high-quality standards in PWD’s work culture. Reflecting on the journey from Lokpath 1.0 to the upgraded Lokpath 2.0, the Chief Minister congratulated the department and its engineers for embracing innovation and digital transformation.

Capacity Building Framework 2026 to Enhance Skills and Project Management
PWD Minister Rakesh Singh stated that over 1,500 engineers from across the state are participating in the workshop. The Capacity Building Framework 2026 document, released during the event, will serve as a guideline for continuous training, skill enhancement, and modern project management practices for engineers. The framework aims to strengthen technical capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and foster professional development across the department.
Lokpath 2.0 App: Advanced Features for Citizen-Centric Road Management
The upgraded Lokpath 2.0 mobile app is designed to provide citizens with a comprehensive, user-friendly digital platform for road-related services. Key features include:
- Real-time monitoring of road maintenance projects
- Quick redressal of citizen complaints
- Route planning assistance
- Black-spot alerts for accident-prone areas
- Emergency SOS functionality
- Information on roadside amenities
Minister Singh highlighted that the app will enhance transparency, efficiency, and responsiveness in road management while making citizen engagement seamless.
Booklet Showcases Innovations of Past Two Years
During the event, a booklet documenting the PWD’s innovations and improvement efforts over the last two years was also released. The publication highlights digital solutions, quality control measures, environmental protection initiatives, modern construction technologies, and advanced management systems adopted by the department.
Engineers Receive Special Training on HAM Projects
In the second session of the workshop, PWD engineers received specialized training on the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) to effectively monitor technical, financial, and quality aspects of large-scale road and bypass projects. The training is expected to enhance engineers’ capacity to oversee complex infrastructure projects efficiently.
