MP CM Mohan Yadav Meets Hockey India Delegation, Pushes Vision to Make Madhya Pradesh a Global Hockey Hub

Bhopal: Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, met a delegation from Hockey India in Bhopal to discuss plans for strengthening hockey infrastructure and promoting the state as an international hockey destination.

The meeting took place at Samatva Bhavan, located at the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal.

Madhya Pradesh Plans to Become a Global Hockey Centre

During the discussion, CM Mohan Yadav said the state government is committed to transforming Madhya Pradesh into a global hub for hockey.

He emphasized that the government is focusing on:

  • Strengthening sports infrastructure
  • Nurturing young hockey talent
  • Expanding training facilities
  • Promoting international-level sports development in the state

The Chief Minister stated that sports development is an important part of the state’s long-term growth vision.

The Hockey India delegation included key office bearers such as:

  • Bhola Nath Singh
  • Shekhar J. Manoharan
  • R. K. Srivastava

The delegation held positive discussions with the state government regarding collaboration on sports infrastructure and athlete development.

State Government Eyes International Sports Recognition

The Madhya Pradesh government aims to position the state as a leading sports destination by hosting major hockey events and improving training ecosystems.

Officials believe that strengthening sports infrastructure can help create more opportunities for youth while enhancing the state’s presence in Indian and international hockey.

The meeting between CM Mohan Yadav and Hockey India officials highlights Madhya Pradesh’s growing focus on sports development. With plans to upgrade infrastructure and support player development, the state is working toward establishing itself as a major global hockey hub in the coming years.
