Bhopal: After watching the live telecast of the Union Budget 2026-27 presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed his appreciation, calling it a comprehensive and pro-people budget.
The Chief Minister, while watching the budget in Indore, described it as a document aimed at empowering the poor, farmers, women, youth, and the middle class, emphasizing that it provides effective steps towards achieving the goal of Developed India by 2047.
Comprehensive Vision for Inclusive Development
Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted that the budget strengthens India’s resolve to become a global development leader. He noted that it spans multiple sectors, including:
- Agriculture
- Manufacturing
- Infrastructure
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Education
- Healthcare
- Tourism
According to the Chief Minister, the allocation of resources across these sectors will bolster inclusive growth, self-reliance, and long-term development goals, positioning the country on the path to achieving Developed India @2047.
Focus on Welfare and Economic Growth
Commenting on the budget, CM Dr Yadav said that it balances economic growth with welfare initiatives. “The budget focuses on the welfare of all sections of society while promoting economic growth with the goal of making India strong,” he said.
He also noted that strategic funding has been ensured for the manufacturing sector, strengthening industrial development and supporting employment generation.
Madhya Pradesh to Benefit from AI and Industrial Reforms
The Chief Minister emphasized that Madhya Pradesh will also progress through AI-driven research and development, contributing to the nation’s technological growth.
Reforms in sectors such as textiles will provide states with enhanced opportunities for development, according to Dr. Yadav.
Key Allocations Highlighted
- ₹5,000 crore allocated for the development of cities with populations over 5 lakh
- Special focus on pilgrimage sites in smaller towns
- Affordable medicines for serious illnesses
Dr Mohan Yadav expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a budget that is both welfare-oriented and forward-looking, reflecting the government’s commitment to the goal of Developed India @2047.
