Indian Masterminds Stories

Bhopal/Ujjain: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has once again demonstrated his commitment to simplicity and social values. On November 29, his son Dr. Abhimanyu Yadav and future daughter-in-law Dr. Ishita Patel arrived for their engagement ceremony in a bullock cart, setting an example that is being widely appreciated across the state.

The ceremony, held in Ujjain, was conducted with complete modesty – no luxury convoy, no DJ, and no extravagant decorations. Instead, the couple chose traditional simplicity, drums and cymbals, and family blessings to mark the beginning of their new journey.

Engagement Held with Full Simplicity

Before heading to the engagement venue, Abhimanyu and Ishita sought blessings from elders and then boarded a bullock cart decorated in a traditional manner. The choice of transport not only drew attention but also highlighted the Chief Minister’s values of humility, cultural pride, and grounded living.

At the venue, both families welcomed the couple warmly. Abhimanyu and Ishita wore simple, elegant outfits instead of expensive designer attire. The engagement took place in the presence of close relatives, maintaining the atmosphere of a traditional family ceremony.

Wedding on November 30 – A Mass Marriage with 21 Couples

The couple will tie the knot today, November 30, in a mass wedding ceremony on the banks of the Shipra River near the Padmashree Wakankar Bridge. A total of 21 couples, including Abhimanyu and Ishita, will be married in this socially significant event.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav personally decided to convert his son’s wedding into a mass marriage function, emphasizing inclusivity, social harmony, and the importance of community welfare.

In the invitation card distributed to guests, Dr. Yadav wrote –

As per the good wishes of our family members, the auspicious marriage of our son has been converted into a mass marriage ceremony. In the joy of this sacred social event, 21 newly married couples will be united. Along with these couples, my son will also enter the householder’s ashram with Saptapadi Saptvachan. Your presence will be a blessing for all the couples and will enhance the dignity of the program.”

CM Mohan Yadav Known for Simple Living and High Ideals

Dr. Mohan Yadav has long been recognized for his simple lifestyle, strong family values, and commitment to social responsibility. By choosing a modest engagement and a mass wedding for his son, he has set a powerful example for society – promoting cultural traditions over showmanship, and public welfare over lavish spending.
