MP Floods: CM Mohan Yadav Reviews Rescue Operations as 527 People Are Rescued

CM reviews the flood situation and speaks directly with rescued people as relief operations continue

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on August 11 reviewed the flood situation at the State Disaster Management Situation Room in Bhopal and interacted with rescued people.

Officials said 527 people have been rescued so far from flood-affected areas. Yadav directed field teams to continue relief and rescue operations.

CM Reviews Flood Situation

Dr Yadav reviewed the situation in affected areas through video conferencing and took updates from officials.

He directed field teams to remain alert and provide timely assistance to people in vulnerable areas.

The Chief Minister also spoke directly with some of the rescued people to know about their situation.

527 People Rescued So Far

Rescue teams have evacuated 527 people across Madhya Pradesh so far.

Dr Yadav appreciated the efforts of teams working on the ground and said rescue operations would continue.

He specifically mentioned the rescue of seven Kanwariyas in Khandwa after a sudden rise in the river’s water level.

CM Urges People to Stay Cautious

Dr Yadav said Madhya Pradesh has received 15% less rainfall than normal, though some areas face heavy rain and rising water levels. He urged people near rivers and streams to remain cautious and seek help from neighbouring districts if needed.

Relief Teams Working Round the Clock

  • Rescue teams are working round the clock in affected areas.
  • The government is monitoring the situation and coordinating with field teams.
  • The Chief Minister warned that sudden river-level rises can be dangerous.

Government Steps Up Flood Monitoring

The government is continuing to monitor flood-prone areas and coordinate relief and rescue operations.

With 527 people already rescued, the administration is focusing on timely intervention in vulnerable areas.

Dr Yadav said the government will continue working at every level to ensure people’s safety and provide assistance during the monsoon.
