Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a high-level round table meeting with officials from Google Cloud in Bhopal on Wednesday to discuss Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven governance reforms and preparations for Simhastha 2028. The meeting focused on leveraging advanced AI technologies to improve administrative efficiency, public services, security systems, and citizen-centric governance across the state.
The strategic collaboration between the Madhya Pradesh government and Google Cloud India is expected to accelerate AI adoption in sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, policing, forest conservation, and emergency response systems.
AI Center of Excellence to Be Established in Indore
During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi announced that the state government and Google Cloud India are preparing to sign a major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a state-of-the-art AI Center of Excellence in Indore.
The center will focus on:
- AI innovation and research
- Skill development and training
- Real-time technology solutions
- AI product development for governance and industries
According to officials, the center aims to connect and train more than 10,000 AI developers, creating one of India’s largest AI talent ecosystems. The initiative will not only support Madhya Pradesh but also provide technical assistance to the wider South Global region.
Smart Simhastha 2028 to Use AI-Based Crowd and Traffic Management
A major highlight of the discussions was the plan to transform Simhastha 2028 into a smart and technology-enabled mega religious event.
Google Cloud India proposed an advanced AI framework that includes:
- Real-time crowd management systems
- Predictive traffic analysis
- AI-powered emergency response mechanisms
- Digital twin technology for event monitoring
- Smart citizen safety systems
Officials said these technologies will help manage millions of devotees efficiently while improving security, emergency services, and transportation systems during the event.
“Sahayak” AI App to Assist Pilgrims in Multiple Languages
Google Cloud India also presented the concept of a multilingual and voice-enabled AI application named “Sahayak.”
The app is designed to provide pilgrims with:
- Live crowd updates
- Traffic and route guidance
- Emergency service alerts
- Real-time event information
- Multi-language voice support
The government believes the AI-powered assistant can significantly improve convenience, communication, and safety for visitors attending Simhastha 2028.

Google Cloud India proposed a Gemini-powered open AI network for farmers that will offer:

AI in Healthcare
Under the proposed “Ojas AI” framework, the healthcare sector may receive:
- Remote clinical decision support
- Early identification of high-risk pregnancies

The initiative aims to improve healthcare access and outcomes, especially in rural and remote regions.
AI in Education
The education roadmap includes:
- AI-powered virtual tutors
- Personalized learning systems
- Teacher assistance tools
- Multilingual educational platforms
Officials stated that the initiative could benefit more than 5 lakh students and approximately 1 lakh teachers across Madhya Pradesh.
AI-Based Policing and Public Safety Systems
The state government and Google Cloud India also discussed deploying AI technologies in policing and public safety through:
- Predictive law enforcement systems
- Behavioral analytics
- Digital forensic tools
- Faster emergency response mechanisms
The solutions are expected to strengthen investigation capabilities and improve law enforcement efficiency.
AI-Driven Governance and Citizen Services
To enhance governance and public service delivery, several AI-enabled administrative solutions were discussed, including:
- Conversational citizen service platforms
- Automated grievance redressal systems

Wildlife Protection and Forest Monitoring Using AI
The collaboration also includes AI-powered solutions for wildlife conservation and forest management. Proposed technologies include:

Officials believe these systems can help improve forest surveillance and biodiversity protection.
Google Cloud Commits Support for AI Skill Development and Cybersecurity
Google Cloud India expressed its commitment to supporting Madhya Pradesh through:

- Advanced cloud infrastructure

The company also praised the Madhya Pradesh government for its support during the India AI Impact Summit 2026, stating that the collaboration has opened new opportunities for AI-led governance and digital transformation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both the Madhya Pradesh government and Google Cloud India agreed to create a department-wise implementation roadmap, monitoring mechanism, and execution strategy to ensure the projects move from planning to ground-level implementation.
The partnership is expected to position Madhya Pradesh as a leading state in AI-driven governance, digital innovation, and inclusive technological development in India.
