Senior IPS officers of Madhya Pradesh cadre are soon going to get promotion in the state. Regarding this, a long pending DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee) was held in the ministry in Bhopal, on 28th of November, 2023.

Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Sulman and DGP Sudhir Saxena were present in the meeting.

Names of officers of different batches were also considered for the post of Special DG, DG, ADG, IG, DIG in DPC.

The promotion of senior IPS officers of 2006 and 2009 batch has finally been approved in the DPC meeting.

While, 1990 and 1991 batch officers were considered for promotion to the post of Special DG, 1999 batch officers to the post of ADG, 2006 batch IPS to the post of IG, 2009 and 2010 batch officers to the post of DIG.

1990 batch IPS officers Anuradha Shankar Singh, Vijay Kataria, BD Sharma, 1991 batch officers Pragya Richa Srivastava, Varun Kapoor, Upendra Jain and Alok Ranjan were considered to be made special DG.

1999 batch IPS officers Rakesh Gupta, Deepika Suri, Niranjan B Vaygankar were considered for promotions.

The names of 2006 batch officer that are considered for IG, given below-

Arvind Saxena, Anurag Sharma, Mithlesh Shukla, Anil Kushwaha, RRS Parihar, Ruchivardhan Mishra, Chandrashekhar Solanki, N Chitra, Rajesh Hingankar, Anshuman Singh, Manish Kapuria

The names of IPS officers that are considered for DIG, given below-

Siddharth Bahuguna, Nimish Aggarwal, Mohammad Yusuf Qureshi, Atul Singh, Satendra Shukla, Tusharkant Vidyarthi, Amit Sanghi, Saket Pandey, Virendra Singh, Prashant Khare, Abid Khan, Ashutosh Pratap Singh

There was also discussion on giving selection grade to IPS officers of 2011 batch.
