New Delhi: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a leading name in the Indian oil and gas sector, has been conferred with the prestigious Mahatma Award for HR Excellence. The award ceremony was held at the India International Centre, New Delhi, to commemorate organizations demonstrating outstanding commitment to human resource practices and social responsibility.

Recognizing Excellence in HR and Social Initiatives

The Mahatma Award for HR Excellence recognizes MRPL’s consistent efforts in building robust human resource systems, employee-centric welfare measures, and meaningful community outreach programs. Instituted in memory of Mahatma Gandhi, the Mahatma Awards honour individuals and organizations that contribute significantly to social impact, humanitarian work, and sustainable practices. These awards serve as a benchmark for excellence in leadership, ethics, and public service.

Award Presentation by Eminent Dignitaries

The award was jointly presented by Mr. A. Annamalai, Director of the National Gandhi Museum, Rajghat, and Mr. Amit Sachdeva, the Founder of the Mahatma Award. Both dignitaries acknowledged MRPL’s integrated approach to employee well-being and its role in promoting inclusive development in its operational regions.

Accepting the award on behalf of MRPL were Mr. Krishna Hegde Miyar, Group General Manager (HR), Mr. Sandesh J Cutinho Prabhu, Chief General Manager (Operations), and Mr. Kasiviswanadham Malla, Manager (HR). The team expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed MRPL’s ongoing commitment to enriching lives through strong HR policies and sustainable development initiatives.
