MY Bharat Conducts 694 Programmes Across 36 States and UTs
During the sixth week of the campaign, MY Bharat organised 694 programmes across the country, bringing together youth and citizens to promote the message of a drug-free India.
The activities were designed to encourage community participation and help young people understand the importance of preventing substance abuse. The initiative also encouraged young people to take an active role in spreading awareness about addiction prevention and supporting healthier lifestyles.
Cultural Activities Highlight the Message of a Drug-Free India
Culturally rooted activities formed an important part of the campaign. Initiatives such as Nashe Ke Ravan Ka Dahan and Nasha Rupi Mahishasur Ka Vadh used symbolic representations of overcoming evil to communicate the message of rejecting addiction and substance abuse.
These activities sought to connect the campaign’s objectives with familiar cultural traditions, encouraging participants to reflect on the importance of making informed choices and staying away from addictive substances.
Through these symbolic events, MY Bharat aimed to strengthen public awareness and encourage collective action towards building a drug-free society.
Traditional Sports Promote Fitness and Healthy Lifestyles
Traditional sports activities were another key component of the sixth week’s programmes. These activities encouraged physical fitness, active participation and community engagement while promoting healthy alternatives to substance use.
By involving young people in sports and recreational activities, the campaign highlighted the role of physical well-being and positive social engagement in supporting a substance-free lifestyle.
The approach also helped bring communities together around a shared objective of promoting health, discipline and responsible choices among young citizens.
Neighbourhood Youth Parliament Encourages Dialogue on Substance Abuse
Under the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Par Paricharcha initiative, Neighbourhood Youth Parliament sessions provided platforms for young people and community members to discuss the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The discussions focused on prevention strategies, the importance of awareness and the role of youth in building a drug-free society. These sessions encouraged participants to exchange ideas, understand the risks associated with substance abuse and identify ways to contribute to prevention efforts within their communities.
By promoting dialogue and participation, the initiative sought to empower young people to become advocates for healthier and more informed communities.
