The proposed dividend represents 20% of the ₹5 face value of each equity share. This is in addition to three interim dividends totalling ₹10.50 per share already paid during FY26.

With the final dividend, the total dividend for FY 2025-26 will stand at ₹11.50 per share, equivalent to 230% of the face value, subject to shareholder approval.

The matter remains sub-judice before the High Court of Rajasthan.

Updates on Joint Ventures

NALCO currently has four joint ventures, including:

  • Angul Aluminium Park
  • GACL-NALCO Alkalies & Chemicals
  • Khanij Bidesh India
  • Utkarsha Aluminium Dhatu Nigam

The Board has consented to the winding up of Utkarsha Aluminium Dhatu Nigam Limited due to commercial unviability. The required clearance has been obtained from the Ministry of Mines.

In another development, NALCO has signed a 50:50 joint venture agreement with NLC India Limited to develop a 1,080 MW thermal captive power plant at Angul, Odisha.

Outlook for NALCO

NALCO’s strong Q1 FY27 results highlight the company’s improved profitability and operational performance amid supportive aluminium prices. With domestic demand for aluminium expected to remain resilient, the company will look to maintain its earnings momentum in the coming quarters.

However, global commodity market uncertainties and developments in aluminium prices will remain key factors for the company’s future performance.
