In a recent move, the Department of Personnel and Training has announced the appointment of new Private Secretaries to several Union Ministers, following the approval of the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet.
Amit Kishore, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Private Secretary to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Mr. Kishore’s tenure will last for five years.
Praveen P. Nair, an IAS officer of the 2010 batch from the Tamil Nadu cadre, will serve as the Private Secretary to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. His appointment is also for a period of five years.
Abhimanyu Kumar, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch from the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as the Private Secretary to Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. Mr. Kumar’s tenure will extend for five years.
These strategic appointments aim to enhance administrative efficiency and support the ministers in their respective departments.
