NHPC CMD Bhupender Gupta Leads World Environment Day Celebrations, Launches Plantation Drive

Faridabad: NHPC celebrated World Environment Day 2026 with a nationwide plantation campaign, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and ecological conservation. The central event was held at the NHPC Corporate Office in Faridabad, where Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Bhupender Gupta led the celebrations by planting a sapling and launching a plantation drive.

The initiative formed part of NHPC’s extensive World Environment Day observance across its Corporate Office, Regional Offices, Power Stations, Projects, and other units located across the country.

CMD Calls for Collective Action on Environmental Conservation

Addressing officers and employees during the programme, Bhupender Gupta stressed the importance of collective responsibility in protecting the environment and conserving natural resources.

He urged employees and citizens alike to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives and contribute actively towards environmental preservation.
