Neyveli: NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Kanpur to collaborate on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), capacity building and strategic digital transformation initiatives.
The partnership aims to strengthen NLCIL’s digital capabilities, improve operational efficiency and promote innovation through the adoption of advanced technologies across the organisation.
The MoU marks an important step towards building a technology-driven and future-ready enterprise by combining NLC India’s industry expertise with IIT Kanpur’s research capabilities.
MoU Signed at NLCIL Corporate Office in Neyveli
The agreement was signed on July 14, 2026, at the NLCIL Corporate Office in Neyveli in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
The event was attended by:
- Dr. Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines), NLCIL
- Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya, Director (Finance), NLCIL (through video conference)
- Mr. Samir Swarup, Director (HR), NLCIL
- Mr. Rajesh Pratap Singh Sisodia, Director (Planning & Projects) and Director (Power) (Additional Charge), NLCIL
- Senior officials of NLCIL and representatives from IIT Kanpur.
