Guwahati: NTPC Limited, acting as a Nikshay Mitra under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMBA), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the State Health Agency, Department of Health, Government of Manipur. The initiative aims to provide nutritional support to 1,800 tuberculosis (TB) patients and their families across 16 districts in Manipur, enhancing recovery and improving overall health outcomes.
Focus on Patient Care and Disease Eradication
The program is designed to improve the nutritional status of TB-affected families, supporting the national objective of eliminating tuberculosis. As a Nikshay Mitra, NTPC is extending its support through structured interventions that align with both national health priorities and the company’s corporate social responsibility mandate.

Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, CEO, State Health Agency, Manipur, signed the agreement, with Dr. Hemlata Thokchom, State TB Officer, and Mr. Siddhanta Salam, State Programme Coordinator, NTEP Manipur, as witnesses. From NTPC, Mr. Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, Mr. V. Jayanarayanan, Chief General Manager (HR, CSR, R&R & LA), Mr. P. K. Sahu, AGM (CSR), and Mr. Amit Kumar Asthana, Head of HR, NTPC Bongaigaon, along with HR officials, participated in the ceremony.
