New Delhi: Gurdeep Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of NTPC Limited, has been conferred with the Individual Leadership Excellence Award in the Maharatna & Navratna PSEs category at the SCOPE Eminence Awards 2025. The award was presented by Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Celebrating Leadership Excellence

The award acknowledges Gurdeep Singh’s visionary leadership in steering NTPC’s growth over the past years. Under his leadership, NTPC has accelerated its energy transition strategy, expanded renewable capacity, and strengthened its position as India’s largest power producer. His emphasis on sustainability and innovation has placed NTPC at the forefront of the country’s clean energy journey.

Ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan

The prestigious award ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, K. Moses Chalai, IAS. The recognition of leaders like Gurdeep Singh reflects the government’s commitment to celebrating excellence in public sector enterprises.

The award also comes at a time when NTPC is marking 50 years of powering India.
