Mumbai: In a major step towards strengthening public healthcare and supporting community welfare, NTPC Western Region–I (WR-I) has initiated a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project for the revival, repair, and renovation of IPD Blocks A, B, and the Annex Building at N.M. Wadia Hospital, Solapur. The project, approved with a total outlay of ₹7.64 crore, aims to enhance medical infrastructure, improve patient care, and ensure better healthcare services for Solapur residents and surrounding rural communities.
Project Commencement and Scope
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between NTPC WR-I Headquarters and N.M. Wadia Hospital was signed on 29 July 2024, formally marking the start of the project.
The initiative includes:
- Comprehensive civil repairs and renovation of IPD blocks
- Electrical upgrades and installation of stretcher lifts
- Enhancement of infrastructure across Building A, Building B, and the Annex Building
- Implementation of consultancy services and statutory provisions to ensure compliance
The holistic approach of the project is designed to improve inpatient facilities, patient safety, and hospital efficiency.
