New Delhi: NTPC Limited has paid a final dividend of ₹3,393.83 crore for the financial year 2025-26 on September 23, 2026, taking its total dividend payout for the year to ₹8,727 crore.
The final dividend represents 35% of NTPC’s paid-up equity share capital and comes in addition to two interim dividends of ₹2,666.58 crore each, which were paid in November 2025 and February 2026.
According to the company, the total dividend paid for FY 2025-26 amounts to ₹9 per equity share of ₹10 face value. The latest payment also marks the 33rd consecutive year in which NTPC has paid a dividend to its shareholders.
NTPC’s FY26 Dividend Payout Reaches ₹8,727 Crore
With the payment of the final dividend, NTPC’s total dividend distribution for FY 2025-26 has reached ₹8,727 crore.

NTPC Expands Generation Capacity
NTPC is India’s largest integrated power utility and currently has an installed generation capacity of more than 91 GW. The company also has over 35 GW of additional capacity under construction.
As part of its long-term growth strategy, NTPC has set a target of increasing its total generation capacity to 149 GW by 2032.
Of the targeted capacity, around 60 GW is planned to come from renewable energy sources, reflecting the company’s growing focus on expanding its clean-energy portfolio alongside its conventional generation assets.
