Patna: NTPC Limited has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from interested Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and local users for lifting dry fly ash from its Kanti Thermal Power Plant in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
The fly ash will be supplied for a period of one year to eligible users engaged in manufacturing ash-based products. NTPC will provide the material at concessional rates on an ‘as is, where is’ basis.
NTPC Kanti to Supply Fly Ash at Concessional Rates
Under the EoI, Micro and Small Enterprises and local users involved in ash-based product manufacturing can participate in the allocation process.
The selected ash users will be responsible for:
- Lifting the allocated fly ash from the Kanti Thermal Power Plant.
- Arranging transportation of the fly ash.
- Meeting the applicable terms and conditions of the allocation.
The initiative is aimed at facilitating the productive utilisation of fly ash by industries and local users.

EoI to Remain Valid for at Least 120 Days
The Expression of Interest will remain valid for a minimum period of 120 days from the date of opening of the EoI.
Interested applicants are required to comply with the conditions specified by NTPC for the allocation and lifting of dry fly ash.
Successful Applicants Must Submit Security Deposit
Successful applicants will be required to submit a Contract Performance Guarantee/Security Deposit within 15 days of the owner issuing the award letter for allocation.
The security amount will be:
- 10% of the value of the allocated quantity
- Subject to a minimum of ₹10,000
The payment can be made through e-Payment at NTPC’s Customer Payment Portal or through an unconditional and irrevocable bank guarantee.
NTPC Kanti Thermal Power Plant Has 390 MW Capacity
Located in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, NTPC Kanti Thermal Power Plant has a total installed capacity of 390 MW.
The plant is engaged in the generation and sale of bulk power. The fly ash allocation initiative provides MSEs and local users with an opportunity to source the material for ash-based manufacturing activities.
