ONGC Appoints Jagdamba Prasad G Dobriyal and Ravinder Singh Negi as Executive Directors

New Delhi: State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has announced the appointment of Jagdamba Prasad G Dobriyal and Ravinder Singh Negi as Executive Directors on its board. The appointments, effective from January 23, 2026, are part of ONGC’s senior management restructuring aimed at strengthening leadership at the executive level.

Jagdamba Prasad G Dobriyal Brings Over 35 Years of Experience

Jagdamba Prasad G Dobriyal, an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Baroda and an MBA from IGNOU, joined ONGC as a Geologist in Dehradun. Over his 35-year career, he has served at multiple ONGC locations, including Dehradun, Mumbai, Nazira, Chennai, and Kakinada. His extensive experience in geology and field operations makes him a key addition to ONGC’s executive leadership.

Ravinder Singh Negi Joins with 36 Years of Expertise

Ravinder Singh Negi, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Baroda, holds an MBA in Finance from South Gujarat University and a Ph.D. in Management from IGNOU. He began his career at ONGC as an Assistant Executive Engineer (Production) in Hazira and has worked across locations such as Hazira, Dehradun, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Karaikal, Chennai, and Mumbai. With 36 years of professional experience, Negi brings expertise in production and management to the company’s board.

Strengthening ONGC’s Executive Leadership

The appointments of Dobriyal and Negi are part of ONGC’s ongoing senior management changes, aimed at enhancing strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Their combined experience across exploration, production, and management is expected to contribute significantly to ONGC’s growth and operational excellence.
