Out of 142 IPS Officers in Chhattisgarh, DGP Arun Dev Gautam Has Less Wealth Than 67 of His Juniors

Chhattisgarh has a total of 142 IPS officers, all under the leadership of Director General of Police (DGP) Arun Dev Gautam. Interestingly, when it comes to personal assets, many of his subordinates are wealthier than him. DGP Gautam owns assets worth ₹50 lakh, placing him behind 67 IPS officers in terms of declared property. Officers ranked below him, including SPs, SSPs, DIGs, IGs, and ADGs, have reported owning more property.

  • 20 officers own property worth between ₹2 crore and ₹5 crore.

IPS Officers with Over ₹50 Lakh in Assets

Seventeen officers have declared property worth more than ₹50 lakh. This list includes Suraj Singh, Sweta Rajmin, D. Ravishankar, Divyang Kumar Patel, and Shashi Mohan Singh.

DGP Arun Dev Gautam’s Asset Profile

DGP Arun Dev Gautam, a 1992-batch officer and current chief of Chhattisgarh Police, owns a single house and has assets worth ₹50 lakh. Despite his senior-most position, 67 IPS officers under him are wealthier in terms of declared property.

Among IAS officers, 10 collectors are crorepatis, while 19 do not own a house. Some officers have seen their property double in just seven years.
