Ms. Parminder Chopra has been made Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Power Finance Corporation (PFC).
Ms. Chopra who has 32 years of experience in the power sector was serving as Director (Finance), PFC, before being chosen to the top post in a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting on May 8, 2023, from among 9 applicants.
Ms. Chopra’s appointment through following vigilance clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
She has previously served in organisations like the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation of India (NHPC) and Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL).
She joined the PFC in 2005 and worked as executive director before being appointed as Director (Finance) PFC in 2020.
