- Around 80% visitor satisfaction rate reported
- Feedback highlighted need for more benches and seating
In response, the zoo administration has already started installing additional benches across the premises.

Key updates include:
- ₹5.81 crore transferred to Danapur Railway Division
- 3.7 km new track under construction
- Coaches and engine to be manufactured at Samastipur Rail Factory
- Battery-operated eco-friendly engine to reduce environmental impact
The train will have four coaches with a capacity of 20–30 passengers each.
Toy Train Route and Visitor Experience
The toy train will offer a scenic ride through key zoo attractions, including:
- Hyena enclosure
- Zoo hospital
- Lion, tiger, and bear enclosures
- Bird aviary
The route begins at the Children’s Station, providing visitors with an immersive tour of the zoo.
With upgraded infrastructure, modern visitor facilities, and the return of the toy train, Patna Zoo is set to become a more interactive and eco-friendly destination for families and tourists.
