New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Anil Kumar Mishra for the post of Director (Marketing) at IREL (India) Limited.
Mishra is currently serving as Chief General Manager (Institutional Business), Marketing Head Office, Mumbai, at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on October 1, 2026.
Mishra is set to succeed Rajnish Arvind Khale, who has been serving as Director (Marketing) at IREL since June 2023. Khale is scheduled to retire on November 30, 2026.
PESB Advertised IREL Director (Marketing) Vacancy in January
PESB had advertised the vacancy for the post of Director (Marketing), IREL on January 20, 2026, inviting applications from eligible candidates.
A total of 11 candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel for the position.
The candidates who appeared for the selection process were:

Anil Kumar Mishra Recommended From 11 Candidates
Anil Kumar Mishra was recommended for the IREL Director (Marketing) position after appearing before the PESB panel along with the other candidates.
The selection meeting was held on October 1, 2026, with senior executives from several public sector companies appearing for the post.
The candidates represented organisations including:

- Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL)

Rajnish Arvind Khale to Retire in November 2026
The PESB recommendation comes ahead of the retirement of the incumbent Director (Marketing), Rajnish Arvind Khale.
Khale has held the position since June 2023 and is scheduled to retire on November 30, 2026.
Mishra’s recommendation will now pave the way for a change in leadership at IREL’s marketing function, subject to the completion of the applicable appointment process.
Anil Kumar Mishra’s Current Role at Indian Oil
Anil Kumar Mishra currently serves as Chief General Manager (Institutional Business) at IOCL’s Marketing Head Office in Mumbai.
His current role is focused on the institutional business function within the company’s marketing operations.
His selection for the IREL Director (Marketing) position follows the PESB’s evaluation of the 11 candidates who appeared before the selection panel.
