New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Tarun Kumar Chopra, Deputy General Manager (Finance) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), for the post of Director (Finance) at WAPCOS Limited, a Schedule ‘B’ Central Public Sector Enterprise.
The recommendation was made during PESB Meeting No. 59/2026 held on July 13, 2026, after a detailed selection process in which nine senior finance professionals from leading public sector undertakings (PSUs) appeared for the interview.
Chopra was selected based on his experience and performance during the competitive evaluation process conducted by PESB.
Nine Senior PSU Finance Professionals Appeared for WAPCOS Director (Finance) Post
The PESB interviewed candidates from several major public sector organisations for the Director (Finance) position at WAPCOS Limited.
The candidates who appeared before the board included:

Tarun Kumar Chopra’s recommendation marks an important appointment for WAPCOS, as the Director (Finance) plays a key role in managing financial planning, corporate strategy, budgeting, and overall financial governance of the organisation.
His extensive experience in finance at IOCL and exposure to public sector operations were key factors considered during the selection process.

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) is responsible for recommending candidates for senior management positions in Central Public Sector Enterprises.
