Prime Minister Narendra Modi: The Spirit of Swadeshi and a Beacon of Nation-Building

– By Dr. Mohan Yadav

“Only the one forged in toil has created history,

The one who shattered steel mountains has bent the course of time,

Now is the moment to reshape time — the right time indeed.”

With these inspiring words, I extend my heartfelt birthday wishes to our guiding light, visionary, and architect of modern India — the Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. We are blessed that on this special day, the Prime Minister is visiting Madhya Pradesh. His visit brings a significant gift to the state as he will lay the foundation stone of the country’s first “PM MITRA Park” in the village of Bhainsola in Dhar district. He will also launch the “Healthy Women – Empowered Families and Nutrition Mission” and the “Swachhata Hi Seva” (Cleanliness is Service) fortnight. On behalf of 85 million citizens of Madhya Pradesh, I warmly welcome and honor our Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister’s entire life has been a journey of dedication, effort, and service. Inspired by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he began his public service with a resolute commitment to the nation, a commitment that continues unwaveringly in his role as Prime Minister. For him, the nation always comes first — and above all. His vision, decisions, and leadership have propelled India into the league of global powerhouses.

Every decision of his reflects a commitment to strengthening the foundations of the nation. Abrogating Article 370 in Kashmir and taking the initiative to restore Mr. Ram Lalla to his birthplace in Ayodhya after the Supreme Court’s verdict were historic and once thought impossible. He has unified the nation by eliminating divisive elements and fostered a sense of unity in society. His visionary leadership continues to steer modern India toward self-reliance, security, prosperity, and cultural pride. Under his guidance, India has achieved numerous historic milestones in public welfare, economic strengthening, cultural revival, and national security.

As soon as he assumed office, the Prime Minister launched a nationwide cleanliness campaign to ensure the health of every citizen. He personally wielded the broom at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, inspiring a movement that reached every village. Responding to his call, the people of Madhya Pradesh took active part, making the state a leader in this campaign. Indore, for instance, has been ranked the cleanest city in India for 8 consecutive years. To provide modern medical services to common citizens, he launched the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, benefiting over 400 million citizens with free health services.

To rekindle national pride and cultural heritage, he gave us the slogan: “Development with Heritage.” Striking a fine balance between cultural pride and modernity, he inspired self-reliance and patriotism among the people.

It fills me with pride to share that under PM Modi’s leadership, India’s economy has soared to new heights. When he took office, India was the 11th largest economy in the world. In just eleven years, we have risen to 4th place, and we are on the verge of becoming the 3rd largest economy. India has set new benchmarks in oil imports, trade, defense production, and technological innovation. We have emerged as a military equipment exporter, showcasing our growing defense capabilities. In space technology, India stunned the world by hoisting the tricolor at the Moon’s South Pole, proving our scientific excellence.

One of the Prime Minister’s greatest qualities is that he not only envisions but executes. This year, from the ramparts of the Red Fort on Independence Day, he announced GST reform, and within a month, it was implemented. This decision will simplify the tax system, reduce inflation, and drive inclusive growth. His economic policies have opened new avenues for investment, production, and employment. While these policies provide relief to citizens, they also symbolize India’s growing global self-respect. Even global powers like the United States, which imposed high tariffs to pressure India, had to back down in the face of PM Modi’s diplomatic strategy. His cooperation with Russia and China to create new trade routes and economic reforms like GST reflect his strategic and decisive leadership.

The Prime Minister envisions a self-reliant youth playing a leading role in nation-building. To create employment opportunities for them, he launched the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, aiming to provide jobs to over 35 million youth. Under his leadership, youth have found new opportunities in skill development, self-employment, startups, and global competition. Through the MUDRA Yojana, about 525 million small entrepreneurs received financial support to boost their businesses.

PM Modi firmly believes that women play a crucial role in the foundation of any family, society, or nation. His government has implemented several schemes for women’s welfare, safety, and financial independence. Over 103 million women have been freed from smoke-related health issues through the Ujjwala Yojana. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana gave over 40 million people ownership of homes. By implementing women’s reservation, he has enhanced political participation for women. The Lakhpati Didi Campaign is empowering 30 million women towards financial independence. Over the past decade, he has lifted 250 million people out of poverty. His tireless efforts have ensured that every citizen benefits from government schemes. More than 810 million citizens receive free food grains under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Over 120 million toilets were built under the Swachh Bharat Mission, improving hygiene and health. Through the Jal Jeevan Mission, over 150 million households now have access to piped drinking water. These programs have directly benefitted every section of society.

Through his radio program “Mann Ki Baat,” he has connected deeply with the hearts of the people, listened to their problems, and worked toward solutions. He has always prioritized national security — safeguarding borders, fighting terrorism, and strengthening India’s global standing. Through Operation Sindoor, India demonstrated its military prowess, making the world aware of its strength. Under his leadership, the Indian Army has been equipped with modern tools and technologies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embodies service, sacrifice, discipline, self-reliance, and patriotism. His initiatives have brought relief to the common man, ensured health security, paved the path for economic growth, and awakened cultural consciousness. Under his leadership, India has transformed struggles into solutions, crises into opportunities, and turned limited resources into global recognition.

On his birthday today, let us pledge to follow his ideals, work for national interest, and contribute to building a developed India. He has called upon the nation to embrace service and swadeshi (self-reliance). I am confident that the upcoming PM MITRA Park, being set up in the cotton-growing region of Madhya Pradesh, will play a crucial role in realizing his vision of promoting indigenous industry. We are truly blessed by this gift from the Prime Minister.

Once again, heartfelt birthday wishes to the visionary Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi — a leader for all: “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Kalyan.
