Raipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended his warm wishes to the people of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of the 25th Formation Day, marking a significant milestone in the state’s journey of growth and development. Addressing a gathering at Nava Raipur, PM Modi reflected on his personal connection with the state, recalling his early days as a young worker and the time he spent closely observing Chhattisgarh’s transformation over the decades.
Inauguration of New Assembly Building and Vajpayee Statue
On this silver jubilee celebration, PM Modi inaugurated the state’s new assembly building in Nava Raipur and unveiled a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, commemorating his instrumental role in the formation of Chhattisgarh. “I have witnessed every moment of Chhattisgarh’s transformation. Today, as the state reaches an important milestone in its 25-year journey, I have the privilege to be a participant in this moment,” he said.

Launch of Shanti Shikhar: Promoting Spiritual Learning
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister inaugurated “Shanti Shikhar” of Brahma Kumaris, a modern center for spiritual learning, peace, and meditation in Nava Raipur. PM Modi highlighted the contribution of Brahma Kumaris to India’s broader Viksit Bharat (Developed India) movement, emphasizing the importance of spiritual and moral development alongside progress.

Highlight on Healthcare Initiatives
PM Modi interacted with around 2,500 children successfully treated for congenital heart diseases under the ‘Gift of Life’ programme at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, acknowledging the tireless efforts of healthcare professionals in improving young lives across the state.
Preserving History: Memorials and Museum Launch
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial & Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, launched the Museum Portal, and released the e-book “Aadi Shourya”, celebrating Chhattisgarh’s rich history and the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of its communities. These initiatives aim to preserve and showcase the contributions of freedom fighters and tribal heroes.

PM Modi’s visit underscored both the progressive development and cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh, emphasizing education, healthcare, spirituality, and heritage preservation as key pillars of the state’s sustained growth.
