Pune: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has extended a ₹50 lakh personal accident insurance claim to Kunal K. Shipte, nominee of Late Kiran J. Shipte, a pensioner of the Indian Army. The claim was settled under the PNB Rakshak Pension Account.
The insurance support highlights the protection available to eligible defence personnel and pensioners through PNB’s specialised pension account offering.
₹50 Lakh Insurance Claim Settled Under PNB Rakshak Pension Account
The ₹50 lakh insurance claim was provided to Kunal K. Shipte, nominee of the late Indian Army pensioner.
The claim was processed under the personal accident insurance coverage linked to the PNB Rakshak Pension Account, providing financial assistance to the family following the account holder’s death.

Cheque Handed Over in Pune
The cheque was handed over during a ceremony in Pune in the presence of senior representatives and members of the defence pensioners’ community.
The ceremony was attended by:
- Devendra Singh, Circle Head, Pune
- Hanumant Nimbalkar, President, Jai Jawan Army Pensioners Association, Baramati
- Other PNB officials
The event highlighted the bank’s support for defence personnel, pensioners and their families.
