Singrauli: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) conducted a five-day modular training programme from August 18 to 22, 2026, at the Central Excavation Training Institute (CETI), Singrauli, to enhance the skills, safety awareness and productivity of its workforce.
The programme was organised in collaboration with the Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Workers Education & Development (DTNBWED), Prayagraj, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
Around 34 executives, supervisors and workers from different NCL areas and units participated in the training programme.
NCL Training Focuses on Safety, Teamwork and Productivity
The training sessions covered several areas aimed at improving workplace performance and strengthening employee capabilities.
Key areas covered during the programme included:
- Team building
- Communication skills
- Decision-making
- Behaviour-based safety
- Workplace housekeeping
- Productivity improvement
The sessions were designed to help participants develop better teamwork, improve communication and decision-making abilities, and promote safer and more productive working practices.

DTNBWED Officials Conduct Training Sessions
Education Officers from DTNBWED, including Mr. Vivek Singh and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sharma, conducted various sessions during the five-day programme.
The collaboration provided participants with structured learning opportunities focused on workplace behaviour, safety practices and productivity enhancement.
NCL Employees Take Pledge Against Drug Abuse
As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, participants also took a pledge against drug abuse.
The initiative aimed to promote awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy and responsible workplace environment while reinforcing the broader social message of a drug-free India.
Training Supports NCL’s Workforce Development
The five-day programme reflects NCL’s focus on continuous employee development and capacity building.
By combining technical and behavioural aspects of workplace performance, the training is expected to support safer operations, stronger teamwork and improved productivity across NCL’s mining areas and units.
