Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat reviewed operational preparedness and security arrangements at Temporary Operating Bases (TOBs) in Chattergul and Wangat areas of Ganderbal district on Saturday.

The visit focused on the readiness of forces deployed at the bases and their ability to respond effectively to emerging security challenges in the sensitive areas of the district.

DGP Reviews Operational Preparedness

During the inspection, DGP Nalin Prabhat took detailed stock of the operational preparedness and security arrangements at the Temporary Operating Bases.

He reviewed the deployment and functioning of the forces stationed at the TOBs and assessed their preparedness to deal with potential security challenges in the area.

The review also covered the prevailing security situation in and around the locations, with the police leadership assessing the operational capabilities of the deployed personnel.

Senior Police Officers Accompany DGP

The DGP was accompanied by the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, and the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Kashmir Range, during the visit.

SSP Ganderbal and other senior police officers also accompanied the visiting officers during the operational review.

The presence of senior officers allowed the police leadership to assess ground-level preparedness and review the functioning of security deployments in strategically important areas.

Focus on Strengthening Security Readiness

The visit forms part of the Jammu and Kashmir Police leadership’s ongoing efforts to strengthen security preparedness and operational capabilities in sensitive areas.

Regular reviews of Temporary Operating Bases help assess the readiness of personnel, security arrangements and deployment mechanisms. The exercise also enables senior officers to identify operational requirements and ensure that forces remain prepared to respond to emerging challenges.

The review in Ganderbal comes as the police continue to focus on maintaining security and strengthening operational preparedness across strategically important areas of the region.
