The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has announced the extension of Shri Pradip Kumar Das’s tenure as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) until further orders.
Pradip Kumar Das took over as CMD of IREDA on May 6, 2020, and has since played a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s financial and operational framework in alignment with India’s renewable energy goals. Under his leadership, IREDA has expanded its outreach and financial support to a wide array of green energy projects across the country.
Before joining IREDA, Mr. Das served as Director (Finance) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ITDC). He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
With decades of experience in the finance sector, Mr. Das has worked with several key public sector organizations, including REC, BHEL, NPCIL, BHPV, and KPL. He has contributed significantly to the formulation and implementation of innovative policies, system reforms, business process re-engineering, and product development across various organizations.
