Mirzapur: In a significant step toward revolutionizing India’s logistics landscape, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) conducted a high-level pre-bid meeting for the proposed Gati Shakti Multimodal Cargo Terminal (GCT) at Mirzapur, located along the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC).

The meeting was chaired by S.P. Verma, General Manager, Business Development & Business Analytics (GGM/BD&BA), and saw active participation from leading logistics industry stakeholders including Pristine Logistics, Adani Logistics, CSA Infratech, and several others.

As part of the Gati Shakti National Master Plan, DFCCIL is spearheading efforts to convert strategic freight stations into vibrant Centers of Economic Activities, supporting seamless cargo movement and enabling regional industrial growth. The Mirzapur terminal is envisioned as a key node in this vision — enhancing last-mile connectivity, reducing turnaround times, and catalyzing multimodal logistics infrastructure across the region.

Verma highlighted the project’s transformative scope, stating that the upcoming GCT at Mirzapur will “unlock the economic potential of Eastern Uttar Pradesh by streamlining freight logistics and creating integrated value chains.” The terminal is expected to significantly enhance freight efficiency by leveraging the high-speed, high-capacity infrastructure of the EDFC.

Participants in the meeting discussed various operational models, technical specifications, and investment opportunities associated with the terminal. The interactive session aimed to ensure transparency and gather industry feedback before finalizing the bid documents.

With DFCCIL’s proactive approach and strong industry interest, the Mirzapur GCT project stands poised to become a model for future cargo terminal developments under the PM Gati Shakti initiative.
