President’s Police Medal Conferred Upon Outstanding Northeast Officers, Check Full List Here

On Republic Day 2024, a total of 1132 individuals from Police, Fire Service, Home Guard & Civil Defence, and Correctional Service were honored with Gallantry and Service Medals.

The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) is bestowed for an exceptional record of service, while the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) is granted for commendable service marked by resourcefulness and unwavering devotion to duty. On the other hand, the President’s Medal for Gallantry (PMG) and Medal for Gallantry (GM) are awarded for Rare Conspicuous Acts of Gallantry and Conspicuous Acts of Gallantry, respectively. These recognitions are given for acts involving the risk of life while saving lives, protecting property, preventing crime, or apprehending criminals, with a careful assessment of the challenges faced by the officers.

In a moment of pride for the bureaucracy, police department, and various Paramilitary Forces, over 100 IPS and state police services officers were conferred with the President’s Medal in acknowledgment of their exemplary services.

Officers from Northeast India were honored with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service during the Republic Day 2024 Ceremony. The names of the distinguished officers are listed below –

Inspector (CID-CB) Elangbam Bhubaneshwor Singh has been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of Republic Day 2024

President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (Republic Day, 2024) was awarded to C. Lalzahngoa, MPS, Secretary, Fisheries Department

Nagaland DGP, IPS Rupin Sharma has been awarded the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.

Special secretary to Home department and 1995 batch IPS officer Santosh Bala and constable Sanjukta Pattnaik were awarded the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, on the eve of Republic Day.

Inspector of Tripura Police Debabrata Paul has been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.

IPS Ajey Mukund Ranade, who is the ADGP, Administration, West Bengal and Manoj Kumar Verma, ADGP, Intelligence Branch, WB has been conferred with the prestigious award.
