India Signs Major Nuclear Technology MoU: NPCIL and ECIL to Develop Critical Systems

New Delhi: India has taken another major step towards strengthening its indigenous nuclear technology. The NPCIL ECIL MoU aims to build advanced Indian-made technologies for the country’s nuclear power programme. The partnership focuses on developing secure, reliable, and modern systems that will reduce dependence on foreign technology and support India’s long-term energy security.

Details of NPCIL ECIL MoU

The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and the Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), both under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The agreement establishes a long-term partnership to jointly develop advanced technologies for India’s nuclear power sector. The announcement was officially shared by NPCIL through its official social media channels.

What are the Main Focus Areas of NPCIL ECIL MoU

Under the MoU, NPCIL and ECIL will work together on several critical technologies, including:

  • Indigenous Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Systems
  • Computer-Based Systems (CBS)
  • Nuclear Instrumentation
  • Training Simulators
  • Cyber Security Solutions
  • Other advanced technologies required for nuclear power plants

These technologies are essential for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of nuclear reactors.
