SAIL Partners with MDI Gurgaon to Launch Executive Education Program for Leadership Development

New Delhi: Steel Authority of India Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Management Development Institute, Gurgaon (Management Development Institute Gurgaon) to launch executive education programmes aimed at developing future-ready leadership within the organisation.

The agreement was signed at the SAIL Corporate Office in New Delhi on May 20, 2026.

Focus on Leadership Development and Strategic Learning

Under this collaboration, SAIL’s Management Training Institute (MTI) and MDI Gurgaon will jointly design customised executive education programmes.

The initiative aims to combine academic expertise with practical industry experience, strengthening leadership capabilities and improving organisational performance.

Key Areas of Collaboration

The partnership will focus on several advanced learning and development areas, including:

  • Customized leadership development programmes
  • Strategy and innovation-focused learning modules
  • Action learning for measurable business impact
  • Overseas learning exposure programmes
  • Joint research and consulting projects
  • Case studies tailored for SAIL executives

Officials said the programme will help align SAIL’s leadership development practices with global standards.

MoU Signing Ceremony in New Delhi

The MoU was signed by Mr. Sanjay Dhar, Executive Director (HR-L&D), MTI, SAIL, and Prof. Sumita Rai, Dean–Industry Connect, MDI Gurgaon.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. K.K. Singh, Director (Personnel), along with senior officials from both organisations.

Strengthening Organisational Capability

The collaboration is expected to enhance leadership pipeline development and improve decision-making capabilities within SAIL.

It will also support innovation-driven learning and strategic thinking among senior and mid-level executives.
