Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), the largest power generation equipment manufacturer in India, has announced a final dividend of ₹55 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2023-24. This payment reflects the government’s 63.17 percent equity stake in the company.
The cheque was formally presented to Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, HD Kumaraswamy, by BHEL’s Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), K. Sadashiv Murthy. The event was attended by Kamran Rizvi, Secretary of Heavy Industries, along with other board members and senior officials from the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
In total, BHEL has distributed over ₹87 crore in dividends to its shareholders for FY 2023-24, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering value to its stakeholders amidst a challenging economic landscape.
