Ms. Simmi R. Nakra, a 1994-batch IP&TAFS (Indian Post & Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service) officer and current Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), has been assigned additional charge as CVO of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) for six months or until a regular appointment is made.
With over 29 years of government service, Ms. Nakra is an accomplished leader with a stellar academic background, including an M.Sc. Gold Medal in Chemistry, dual M.Phils, and an MBA in Finance. She has held key roles in DoT, DoPT, and MCI, pioneering initiatives like the Direct Pension Disbursement mechanism for MTNL and the E-Service Book Project. Her extensive expertise in procurement, financial advisory, vigilance, and policymaking continues to enhance governance standards in PFC and beyond.
