Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has issued transfer orders for senior IPS officers, bringing changes in counterintelligence, special operations, and district policing. The reshuffle, made on administrative grounds, takes immediate effect.
Key Changes in Police Leadership
Jagadale Nilambari Vijay (IPS, 2008), DIG Counter Intelligence, Punjab, SAS Nagar, has been entrusted with additional charge as DIG Faridkot Range. She will now oversee counterintelligence operations while also supervising law and order in Faridkot Range.
Deepak Pareek (IPS, 2014), who was serving as SSP Tarn Taran, has been transferred as AIG SSOC, Punjab, SAS Nagar. His new posting places him at the helm of state-level operations focused on organized crime and security challenges.
Rajvot Grewal (IPS, 2015), Joint Director IVC & SU in the Vigilance Bureau, has been appointed as SSP Tarn Taran in place of Deepak Pareek. His new role will involve managing district-level policing and strengthening law enforcement in a sensitive border district.
Officers Directed to Join Immediately
The officers concerned have been instructed to assume charge of their new postings without delay. The transfer order was issued with the approval of the competent authority on September 10, 2025.
The communication has been forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, along with the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, the DGP Punjab, and other senior state officials for compliance and necessary action.

The latest reshuffle reflects the state government’s focus on reinforcing key police positions. By placing experienced officers in counterintelligence, organized crime, and border policing roles, Punjab aims to strengthen its law and order framework ahead of crucial security challenges.
