The state government of Punjab has appointed IPS Rakesh Kaushal as DIG Border Range. Mr. Kaushal who is an officer of 2009 batch, is currently serving as DIG Crime, Punjab, Chandigarh. The Department of Home Affairs and Justice has issued this order in compliance to the orders of Election Commission. The ECI ordered the transfer of Border Range DIG Narendra Bhargava, IPS on Thursday.
Besides Mr. Kaushal, Ms. Jagadale Nilambari Vijay has been posted as DIG, Roopar Range. An IPS officer of 2008 batch, she was earlier DIG, Cyber Crime, Punjab.
