The government of Punjab has recently promoted one IPS officer to the rank of ADGP and ten officers to the rank of DIG, while six others have been given a higher pay scale subject to the fulfilment of conditions.
Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal (1999 batch) has been promoted to the rank of Additional Director-General of Police (ADGP).
Ten other eminent officers were promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector of General (DIG), they are:
- Mr. Rajpal Singh (2008 batch);
- Mr. Harjeet Singh (2010 batch);
- Mr. J Elanchezhian (2010 batch);
- Mr. Dhruman H Nimbale (2010 batch);
- Mr. Patil Ketan Baliram (2010 batch);
- Ms. Alka Meena;
- Mr. Satinder Singh (2010 batch);
- Mr. Harmanbir Singh (2010 batch);
- Mr. Ashwani Kapurthala (2011 batch);
- Ms. Satwant Singh Gill (2011 batch).
Six other officers were promoted to selection grade level 13 including, IPS officers Vivek Sheel Soni, Nanak Singh, Gaurav Garg, Deepak Hilori, Gurmeet Singh Chauhan and Naveen Soni.
