Patna: Rajgir is fast emerging as a major eco-tourism destination in Bihar, combining its natural landscapes with adventure and tourism facilities. The Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department is focusing on protecting the region’s natural heritage while expanding facilities for visitors.
The destination attracted 24,55,255 tourists between January and November 2025, including 23,37,383 domestic and 1,17,872 foreign visitors. From January to March 2026, another 1,37,855 tourists visited Rajgir, highlighting its growing appeal among travellers.
Nature Safari Adds Adventure to Rajgir Tourism
Rajgir Nature Safari has become one of the key attractions for visitors seeking both nature and adventure. Developed amid hills and forest areas, the facility offers activities such as a glass skywalk, suspension bridge, zipline, sky cycle and nature trails.
The objective goes beyond recreation. By bringing visitors closer to forests and biodiversity, the initiative also promotes awareness about environmental conservation and responsible tourism.
