Gurugram: REC Limited has committed financial assistance of ₹1.40 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for the implementation of the ‘Green Innovator Immersive Learning Lab’ project in 10 government schools in Karnal district, Haryana.
The project will be executed by I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the Technology Innovation Hub of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
MoA Signed at REC Corporate Office in Gurugram
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on May 14, 2026, at REC’s corporate office in Gurugram.
The agreement was signed by Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and Ashutosh Dutt Sharma, CEO of IHFC (IIT Delhi).

AR, VR and STEM Tools to Transform Classroom Learning
The Green Innovator Immersive Learning Lab project aims to enhance experiential learning by introducing advanced educational technologies, including:
- Augmented Reality (AR)
- Virtual Reality (VR)
- 3D learning tools
- STEM-based education modules
The initiative will also help students develop future-ready skills such as:
- Coding
- Robotics
- Innovation and design thinking
- Digital literacy
The project is expected to provide students in government schools with hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies and practical problem-solving approaches.
Strengthening the Education Ecosystem
REC Limited said the collaboration reflects its commitment to improving the education ecosystem and empowering young minds with advanced technological exposure.
By integrating immersive technologies into classrooms, the initiative seeks to prepare students for the evolving digital economy and future employment opportunities.
Focus on Government Schools in Karnal District
The project will initially cover 10 government schools in Karnal district, Haryana, bringing high-quality technology-enabled education to students who may otherwise have limited access to such resources.
Officials said the programme is designed to bridge the digital divide and foster innovation among school students at an early stage.
