New Delhi: REC Limited has announced a commitment of ₹11.56 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to support Sankara Eye Hospital, Saharsa, Bihar. The funding will be used for procuring clinical and non-clinical equipment, aiming to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality eye care services in the region.
Memorandum of Agreement Signed
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on March 9, 2026, at the REC Limited office in SCOPE Complex. Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and Wg Cdr V. Shankar (Retd), Trustee & Executive Director of Sankara Eye Hospital, formalized the partnership.
Boosting Eye Care Services in Saharsa
The initiative is expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to deliver specialized and timely eye care services. The project will particularly benefit economically weaker sections in Saharsa and surrounding districts of Bihar, making quality eye care more accessible and affordable.
