New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) is making steady progress on its ₹447.42 crore D2C-02 package under Delhi Metro Phase IV, aimed at strengthening public transport connectivity across South Delhi.
The project involves the construction of a 7.298-km elevated viaduct and platform structures for seven metro stations on the Pushp Vihar–Lajpat Nagar stretch. The work forms part of the wider expansion of the Delhi Metro network and is expected to support faster, more sustainable urban mobility in the capital.
RVNL’s Delhi Metro Phase IV Package Covers 7.3-Km Corridor
Under the D2C-02 package, RVNL is responsible for major elevated construction and engineering works along the designated corridor.
The scope of work includes:
- 863 viaduct piles
- 208 pile caps
- More than 2,200 precast segments
- Six special spans
- Elevated structures for seven metro stations
- Construction of a 7.298-km elevated corridor
Piling activities are already underway as construction progresses across multiple fronts.

Key Construction Milestones Achieved
RVNL has reported progress on several important activities under the package.
The company has completed the first working pile, marking an important milestone in the foundation works. In addition, three pile caps have already been constructed.

- Design submissions completed as part of the project execution process
- Batching plant commissioned
- Foundation and piling activities progressing
- Work advancing on elevated corridor structures
These developments indicate that the project has moved forward into active construction and foundation stages.
Pushp Vihar-Lajpat Nagar Corridor to Improve South Delhi Connectivity
The D2C-02 package is expected to strengthen metro connectivity across key areas of South Delhi.
