SC Collegium Recommends 15 Judges for Delhi, J&K, Jharkhand and Karnataka High Courts | Know Them 

Eight judicial officers, including three women judges, recommended for the Delhi High Court; recommendations also made for Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand and Karnataka High Courts.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of 15 judicial officers as Judges of four High Courts, including eight judicial officers for the Delhi High Court. The recommendations were made on September 10, 2026, and include three women judicial officers among the Delhi High Court recommendations.

Apart from Delhi, the Collegium has recommended one judicial officer for the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, three for the Jharkhand High Court and three for the Karnataka High Court.

Eight Judicial Officers Recommended for Delhi High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended eight judicial officers for appointment as Judges of the Delhi High Court.

The recommended names are:

  • Gurvinder Pal Singh
  • Nivedita Anil Sharma
  • Nisha Sahay Saxena
  • Sanjay Sharma-I
  • Bharat Parashar
  • Dr Aditi Choudhary
  • Dinesh Bhatt
  • Arun Bhardwaj

The Delhi High Court recommendations include three women judicial officers — Nivedita Anil Sharma, Nisha Sahay Saxena and Dr Aditi Choudhary.

One Recommendation for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court

The Collegium has also recommended Yash Paul Bourney for appointment as a Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.

The recommendation is part of the latest set of High Court judicial appointments considered by the Supreme Court Collegium.

Three Judicial Officers Recommended for Jharkhand High Court

For the Jharkhand High Court, the Collegium has recommended three judicial officers:

  • Manoj Prasad
  • Akhil Kumar
  • Ram Sharma

Their names have been recommended for appointment as Judges of the High Court.

Three Recommendations for Karnataka High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended three judicial officers for appointment as Judges of the Karnataka High Court.

The names are:

  • Usharani
  • K S Bharath Kumar
  • Nerale Veerabhadraiah Bhavani

High Court Judge Recommendations Across Four Courts

The latest recommendations cover four High Courts and a total of 15 judicial officers.

  • Delhi High Court: 8 recommendations
  • Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court: 1 recommendation
  • Jharkhand High Court: 3 recommendations
  • Karnataka High Court: 3 recommendations
  • Total: 15 recommendations

The recommendations will proceed through the prescribed appointment process before the judicial officers formally assume office as High Court Judges.
