Shimla: SJVN Limited has launched the “Swachhata Hi Seva 2026” campaign, with cleanliness and community-focused activities being organised from September 17 to October 2, 2026, at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla and across its projects and units.
The campaign is being conducted under the leadership of SJVN Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Bhupender Gupta.
At the Shimla headquarters, Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma administered the Swachhata Pledge to employees. Similar pledge-taking ceremonies were also conducted across SJVN’s projects and units.
Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Campaign Details
The campaign is being organised with the theme “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag – Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat”.

The campaign will involve employees as well as communities associated with SJVN’s projects and units, helping promote greater awareness about cleanliness and sustainable practices.

Focus on Cleanliness Target Units and Public Places
SJVN has given special attention to transforming Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) and high-footfall public places under the campaign.
The initiative will focus on improving cleanliness standards at these locations while encouraging people to actively participate in maintaining cleaner surroundings.
The company also plans to increase youth participation in cleanliness-related activities, recognising the role of young people in promoting long-term behavioural change.
Waste-to-Wealth and Circular Economy Initiatives
A key component of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 will be the promotion of circular economy practices and Waste-to-Wealth initiatives.
SJVN aims to encourage the productive utilisation and management of waste while highlighting how waste materials can be converted into useful resources.
The campaign will promote the concept of “Swachhata se Samriddhi”, linking cleanliness with sustainable development and economic value creation.
SJVN Promotes Public Participation in Cleanliness
Through the campaign, SJVN is seeking to strengthen the role of employees, local communities and the public in cleanliness efforts.
The activities are designed not only to improve cleanliness at specific locations but also to encourage sustainable habits and greater community ownership of cleanliness initiatives.
The campaign will continue until October 2, 2026, coinciding with the culmination of the Swachhata-focused activities.
