Vigilance Awareness Week 2025: SJVN Strengthens Integrity and Transparency Across Projects

Under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” SJVN engages employees, students, and local communities in ethics-driven initiatives, reflecting its commitment as a public sector undertaking.

New Delhi: SJVN, a leading public sector undertaking, is observing Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from October 27 to November 2 across all its Projects and Units. The observance is being held under the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and under the guidance of Bhupender Gupta, CMD, SJVN, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical governance.

Integrity Pledge Administered at Corporate Headquarters

The week-long observance commenced at the Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, where Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, administered the Integrity Pledge to employees. On the occasion, he highlighted the significance of Vigilance Awareness Week in creating awareness among employees and the public.

He stated, “Observing Vigilance Awareness Week every year helps foster greater sensitivity towards ethical conduct and upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in both personal and professional domains. I encourage everyone to actively participate in vigilance initiatives and join the collective fight against corruption.”

Active Participation Across Projects and Units

The Integrity Pledge was also administered simultaneously to employees across various SJVN Projects and Units, under the supervision of Manmeet Gupta, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Dy. CVO), SJVN, along with other senior officials. The organization ensures that vigilance awareness is promoted not only among employees but also extended to local communities.

Three-Month Vigilance Awareness Campaign

SJVN is conducting a three-month-long Vigilance Awareness Campaign from August 18 to November 17, 2025, focusing on preventive vigilance measures and ethical practices. During Vigilance Awareness Week, the company is organizing a variety of activities, including capacity building sessions, quizzes, painting and rangoli competitions, walkathons, and declamation contests. These initiatives are aimed at engaging employees, students, and local communities across all Projects and Units of SJVN, reinforcing the importance of integrity and ethical responsibility.

Promoting a Corruption-Free India

The programs conducted during the week are designed to spread awareness about building a corruption-free India and to instill a sense of shared responsibility among all stakeholders. The theme for Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” aligns with the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose birthday is commemorated during the observance to honor his commitment to integrity and nation-building.
