Patna: Bihar’s Industries Department organised a Startup Bihar Stakeholder Dialogue to strengthen the state’s startup ecosystem and build a support system around the funding, technology, incubation and market-access needs of emerging businesses.
The programme brought together bank representatives, Startup Cells, incubation centres, investors and startups. Discussions covered funding, capital-market access, SME listing, investor readiness, technology, incubation and banking support.
Focus on Stronger Startup Support
Director of MSME Aman Sameer said the department is working to provide institutional guidance and support to startups and MSMEs from the early stage through expansion.
He said the objective is to help more young people turn innovative ideas into sustainable businesses while creating new opportunities for employment and economic activity in Bihar.
Director of Industries Mukul Kumar Gupta said the department is working to develop a stronger startup ecosystem by combining financial assistance with technological, institutional and market support.
He also said the startup evaluation process is being made AI-based, which is expected to reduce human intervention and save around 15–20 days, helping startups receive faster and more transparent support.

Experts Discuss Funding and Growth
Several experts shared their views during the stakeholder dialogue. Gagan Kumar Singh, Deputy Manager, BSE, Patna Region, spoke on capital markets, while Dr Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, discussed incubation.
Sanjay Kumar, Director, STPI, Joseph Paul, General Manager, IC IITP, and Vijay Prakash, Chairman-cum-CEO, AIC–Bihar Vidyapeeth Foundation, also shared insights on technology, incubation and startup growth.
The Startup Bihar App was also presented during the programme. Startups provided feedback and suggestions on the app and other Startup Bihar initiatives, with the department seeking to improve services based on their requirements.

Startups Felicitated for Growth and Investment
The programme also recognised startups that achieved notable results in revenue growth, investment and business development.
Road Express Technologies Pvt Ltd and Ved Prabha Aerospace Pvt Ltd were felicitated for recording strong and consistent revenue growth for three consecutive years.
RCX Lite Pvt Ltd received recognition after successfully securing investment following its appearance on Shark Tank India. Gaudrika Digital Labour Chowk Pvt Ltd was felicitated after securing investment following its appearance on Bharat Ke Superfounders.
Meanwhile, Agrix Agrotech Pvt Ltd was recognised for securing ₹9 crore in funding from venture capital funds and other investors.
Dialogue to Shape Future Startup Support
The programme concluded with an interactive session involving startups, banks, incubation centres, Startup Cells and investors.
Participants discussed the challenges faced by startups and shared suggestions on improving access to finance, technology, incubation, markets and institutional support.
The dialogue highlights Bihar’s effort to build a more responsive startup ecosystem where financial assistance is complemented by faster evaluation, technology support, market access and stronger connections with investors and institutions.
