Raebareli: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday launched and laid the foundation stones for 346 development projects worth more than ₹879 crore across the Raebareli, Bachhrawan and Harchandpur Assembly constituencies.
The projects were unveiled at an event held at the Firoz Gandhi Degree College grounds in Raebareli. According to reports, the package includes 185 completed projects worth around ₹624 crore, while foundation stones were laid for 162 projects valued at approximately ₹277 crore.
₹879 Crore Development Package
The projects cover multiple areas of local infrastructure and public facilities. Among the works announced are:
- Strengthening of the Maharajganj-Inhauna Road, costing more than ₹36 crore.
- Construction of a G+12 transit hostel at the Police Line, costing over ₹24 crore.
- Widening and strengthening of the Kundanganj and Pashchimgaon-Tera-Aghaura Road, costing more than ₹21 crore.
- Construction of Chief Minister Model Composite Schools at Osah and Bela-Bhela, with each project costing more than ₹24 crore.
- Construction of an RCC box culvert on the Khiro-Paho link road in Harchandpur, replacing a damaged culvert.
Welfare Measures Also Highlighted
During the programme, the Chief Minister also referred to several welfare measures and announced that a new scheme for mothers would be unveiled on August 26.
He also said Raksha Bandhan celebrations had begun for mid-day meal cooks.
Ahead of the event, the state government had announced plans to transfer more than ₹19 crore to beneficiaries and distribute Ayushman cards, laptops, sanction letters and house keys under various schemes. Residential leases were also to be allotted to more than 60 homeless families, including members of the Sapera community.
Yogi Highlights Raebareli’s Development
Addressing the gathering, Yogi described Raebareli as a constituency that had historically been referred to as a “VIP constituency” but, according to him, had faced neglect and deprivation.
“Raebareli’s name is now being taken with pride across the country. For the first time, the rollout of a Vande Bharat train shed also took place here in May 2026,” he said.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the functioning of AIIMS Raebareli and other infrastructure and welfare initiatives while outlining what he described as the changes in the district and across Uttar Pradesh.
CM Targets Previous Governments
Yogi also used the occasion to criticise previous Congress and Samajwadi Party governments, alleging shortcomings in the implementation of welfare schemes and development programmes.
He claimed that around 16 crore people in Uttar Pradesh receive free ration and that 10 crore people have ₹5 lakh health insurance coverage.
The Chief Minister further alleged that under previous administrations, resources meant for welfare schemes were misused. He also criticised Congress and the Samajwadi Party over their positions on Ayodhya and India’s cultural heritage.
The development programme therefore combined the launch of infrastructure projects with the government’s welfare messaging and the Chief Minister’s assessment of Uttar Pradesh’s development record.
